Draden Van Ons Nederlands Slavernijverleden

From May through September, we are collaborating at SHEBANG on a tapestry designed by artist Raul Balai. Our tapestry will become part of a gigantic monumental tapestry measuring 35 meters long and 2.5 meters high, which symbolises the regional connection of the province of North Holland to the slavery period and the colonial era.

Would you like to participate in this special collective project? No experience with needlework or textiles is required. You can sign up here, or simply walk in on Tuesdays, Fridays, or Saturdays from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM and/or 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
